Safari Tour: Nduva goes joint-top as Snow stays put at Vipingo

Daniel Nduva carded a brilliant two under 70 to join Greg Snow atop the leaderboard as the Safari Tour entered the second day at Vipingo Ridge. The Nyali player had a dream start opening with a birdie enroute to a respectable two under 34 on the front nine before settling for 36 on the back nine to set up a feisty match-up with the experienced Snow. The duo goes into tomorrow’s round enjoying a two shot advantage after Snow shot level par today to hang on the lead.

Dismas Indiza and Zimbabwean Nyasha Muyambo are tied in third. Muyambo entered the podium places after carding 71 today while veteran Indiza shot level par to stay in contention. Mutahi Kibugu dropped two places to fifth after returning 73 today while the same fate befell day one runner-up Mike Kisia who dropped seven places to ninth after a disappointing 78 today.

Visitors Ronald Rugumayo and Robson Chinhoi moved into top 10 in position six and seven respectively to take the fight to the locals in the remaining rounds.

The field was reduced to 25 players today with Naomi Wafula the sole amateur survivor as top guns like Jacob Okello, Eric Ooko, CJ Wangai, Mathew Wahome, Njuguna Ngugi and Jeff Kubwa kissing the tournament goodbye after failing to beat the +13 cutline.
